MP36 ROOFING PANELS
The 5-rib workhorse panel Indiana barns, homes, and pole buildings have trusted for years. Domestic steel, fabricated in Bainbridge, built for Midwest weather.
Built For Every Midwest Roof
MP36 is our most popular roofing panel, and for good reason. It's a 5-rib, screw-down panel made from domestic steel and backed by a 40-year Sherwin-Williams WeatherXL paint warranty. Standard trim runs 26 gauge, color-matched, so the whole system holds up to Indiana's wind, hail, and everything else the sky throws at it.
Standard gauge is 29, but we stock thicker 29 than most competitors run — and you can upgrade to 26 or 24 gauge for extra rigidity on longer spans or higher-wind sites. Slopes down to 3:12 work fine, and the panel installs over open purlins or solid deck.
Homeowners like it because it's DIY-friendly. Contractors like it because it goes up fast. Everybody likes the price point.
Where MP36 Goes To Work
One panel, three job types. If it needs a roof, MP36 can probably cover it.
Pole Barns & Ag Buildings
The go-to panel for agricultural roofing across Indiana. Tough enough for daily use, priced for buildings that need square footage, not showroom polish.
Homes & Barndominiums
Plenty of homeowners run MP36 on the house itself, not just the barn. Pair it with wood grain finish or color-matched trim for a residential look that still performs like steel.
Commercial Roofing
Shops, warehouses, and outbuildings lean on MP36 when budget and turnaround matter as much as durability.

What's the minimum roof pitch for MP36?
MP36 works down to a 3:12 slope. Anything lower, look at MP36Pro or MP150 instead.
What gauge options are available?
Standard is 29 gauge, thicker than most competitors' standard. You can upgrade to 26 or 24 gauge for extra rigidity.
Can MP36 be installed over open purlins?
Yes. MP36 doesn't require a solid substrate, so it installs over purlins or solid deck.
Is this a realistic DIY project?
Plenty of homeowners install MP36 themselves. It's a straightforward screw-down panel, though a steep pitch or large roof is safer left to a pro.
What's the warranty?
40 years on paint performance (chalking, fading, peeling) through our Sherwin-Williams WeatherXL coating on stock colors.
Do you ship outside Indiana?
Yes, nationwide via LTL freight. Local pickup is available at both our Bainbridge and Indianapolis locations.
Can I get MP36 in a wood grain finish?
Yes — MP36 is one of three profiles available in our wood grain steel line.
