Real Wood Look.
Zero Wood Problems.

New coating technology has made the metal-wood look better than ever—and Indiana Metal is the TikTok-viral source for it. This is 26 gauge steel with an HD digital print applied using an inline inkjet printer, a roll coater, and a solvent-free protective clear coat. The result: image resolution up to 400 DPI with a pattern that doesn't repeat for 32 feet. It looks like real wood because it essentially is—just on steel that'll outlast any board you can find.

01
No Maintenance

Real wood rots, warps, fades, and needs painting every few years. This doesn't. Wipe it down and walk away.

02
Fire & Weather Resistant

Steel doesn't burn or absorb moisture. It holds up to the Indiana climate without cracking, swelling, or splitting.

03
Starts Under $2/sq ft

Significantly more economical than hardwood siding with none of the upkeep cost. Your total cost of ownership is dramatically lower.

04
32-Foot Pattern, No Repeat

The print is engineered to not tile or repeat for 32 feet—so it reads like real wood grain, not a wallpaper pattern.

Common Questions

What does wood grain metal siding cost? +
Wood grain steel starts under $2 per square foot for the material. Your total cost will depend on which panel profile you choose and your project dimensions. It's significantly more economical than real hardwood siding—and that gap gets bigger over time when you factor in zero maintenance and no repainting. Request a quote and we'll get you a number specific to your project.
How realistic does it actually look? +
Very. The print resolution runs up to 400 DPI and the pattern doesn't repeat for 32 feet—so up close or at a distance, it reads as real wood. Our customers regularly get asked if it's actual wood. The Barnwood, Natural Cedar, and Hickory colors in particular are consistently mistaken for the real thing.
What is barnwood metal siding? +
Barnwood metal siding is steel panel siding printed with a weathered, reclaimed-wood texture—the gray, aged look of old barn boards. It's one of our most popular woodgrain colors and ships fast from Indiana. You get the rustic aesthetic without the rotting, warping, or structural issues that come with actual reclaimed wood.
Do you ship outside of Indiana? +
Yes—anywhere in the continental US. Local tri-state area gets delivery via our company trucks. Everywhere else ships via professional freight carriers. We also do customer pick-up at both our Bainbridge and Indianapolis locations.
What's the warranty on wood grain steel? +
We offer a manufacturer's 20-year finish warranty on vertical applications. Download the sample warranty here.
Can you do custom lengths and trim pieces? +
Yes. We fabricate custom trims, beam wraps, and flat sheets in our wood grain line. Standard panels run up to 26'3". If you need something specific, give us a call or request a quote.
What's the difference between metal board and batten siding cost vs. regular metal siding? +
Board and batten profiles (our MPBatten) have a slightly higher price point than standard corrugated panels due to the deeper profile and material used. In wood grain, the MPBatten is especially popular because the board-and-batten shadow lines enhance the wood-look effect.
