Trim & Flashing
Precision-fabricated metal roofing and siding trim for residential, agricultural, and commercial projects. Stocked in 10'3" for same-day pickup. Manufactured up to 26 feet — and every piece is a minimum 26 gauge at no extra charge.
What Is Metal Roofing Trim?
Every panel edge, peak, valley, and transition needs a trim piece engineered to seal and protect it. Here's what a complete system looks like.
★ 26 Gauge Minimum — Standard on Every Trim
Most suppliers run trim in the same gauge as your panels — 29 gauge if that's what you ordered. We don't. Every trim piece we manufacture is a minimum 26 gauge at no additional charge. Heavier gauge means more rigidity, less chance of cracking at bends and seams, and a finished installation that holds up better over time. It's one of those details that matters a lot on year 10 but nobody talks about on day one.
Metal roofing trim — also called flashing or finish trim — is the system of formed steel pieces that seal, protect, and finish every edge and transition on a metal roof or siding job. Without proper trim, even the best panels are vulnerable to water infiltration, wind uplift, and long-term structural damage at the points that matter most.
At Indiana Metal, we fabricate trim to match every panel profile we carry — same steel, same Sherwin-Williams coil coatings, same color. No hunting for a close match from a secondary supplier.
Whether you're finishing a post-frame barn, a barndominium, a residential re-roof, or a commercial metal building, we have what you need in stock or can run it to your specs.

Metal Siding Trim Components
A complete metal siding job needs more than panels. Every corner, door opening, soffit, and base transition has a purpose-built trim piece.
Outside Corner
Wraps and protects exterior building corners. Clean finish, weathertight seal.
J Channel
Captures panel edges at openings and transitions — windows, doors, and more.
F & J (Soffit Trim)
Used at the gable peak to finish panel tops and tie into soffit runs.
Single & Double Angle
Foundation and base trims. Double angle at grade; single angle for roof-to-wall transitions.
Overhead Door Trim
Frames garage and overhead door openings for a finished, professional look.
Rat Guard
Closes the base gap on metal siding, blocking rodent entry at the foundation line.
Wainscot Trim
Transitions between lower wainscot panels and upper wall panels on post-frame buildings.
Soffit
Enclosed eave panels that close out the underside of the roof overhang.

We make the panels and the trim — so everything works together, and nothing gets cut short on quality.
26 Gauge Minimum — No Upcharge
Order 29 gauge panels, you still get 26 gauge trim. Heavier gauge resists cracking at bends and seams, holds shape better, and lasts longer — at no extra cost to you.
Up to 26-Foot Lengths
Most suppliers stop well short of 26 feet. We manufacture every 2-foot increment from 10'3" to 26'. Fewer seams means faster installation and a tighter, cleaner finish.
Same-Day Pickup Available
Common trims in 10'3" are stocked at both locations. Walk in and walk out. No lead times on standard stock.
Exact Color Match
Panels and trim are coated with the same Sherwin-Williams coil coatings. When you source both from us, the color match is exact — not approximate.
Fabricated In-House
All trim is roll-formed at our Bainbridge facility. One source, consistent quality, and the ability to run custom profiles without going through a middleman.
Warranty-Eligible System
Panels and trim from Indiana Metal together qualify for our WeatherTight Warranty. Mixing suppliers typically voids that eligibility.
